Grafix Knox is a go.
But to make it a reality, we need your help. We need volunteers to help with the research, collation and archival of Chris Knox’s work as an artist.
To all the supporters who got behind our Grafix Knox endeavour in 2014 we’d just like to let you know we are still committed to publishing a high-quality, beautiful-looking overview of Chris’ graphic work.
We’d really value some assistance in the nuts and bolts aspects of the book. If there are any budding (or blooming!) researchers out there who would like to be part of a collaborative project then we’d love to hear from you.
We are looking for:
- 2 or 3 researchers / interns willing to volunteer their time to scan and catalogue the works of Chris Knox. Preference goes to art, art history, communications and journalism students and anyone who knows how to catalogue artwork. The research and cataloguing process will start immediately and will continue over the next few months. We can work around your schedule, but volunteers must be able to commit at least ~4-5 hours per week.
We are also looking for:
- An institute or art school that has the equipment (high-quality scanners) to facilitate a project of this nature.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a collaboration that will culminate in a book that documents a significant slice of New Zealand Art History. Volunteers will get to work with original Chris Knox pieces and will be credited on the imprint page of the book.
